A Strategic Board Game Inspired by the British Countryside

Beautiful Hand-printed Artwork

Inspired by the countryside of the Cotswolds, all of the artwork in Meadowvale is created through traditional fine art printing techniques. Created by the designer, an international award winning fine art printmaker. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the British countryside.

Game Play and Mechanics

Each turn, players build a beautiful Shared Countryside by placing Habitat Tiles and Animal Tokens. Nature Cards reward Animal Movement and tile placement combinations that create ecological moments. Sets of cards are collected, allowing players to claim powerful Specialism Tokens, unlocking asymmetric endgame scoring based on ecological behaviours.

Ecological Storytelling

Meadowvale is set in the heart of the British countryside. Players will collectively build a shared landscape that represents a scale map of a patch of landscape, a Vale, with a single river flowing through it.

You will then introduce animals and gain points by placing tiles and guiding animals across habitats to complete ecological moments: foxes chase rabbits, owls swoop over meadows and Kingfishers compete for territory.

But remember this is a shared landscape, and as you gain Specialism Cards that unlock ecological endgame scoring, so other players are also moving and positioning their species to optimise their scoring.
